New Player Assessment
Pre-Competitive & Competitive Teams
New players will have a tryout for teams starting at the Under-11 up to the Under-19 age groups (Under 9 & Under 10 players are considered pre-competitive and they do not need to try out).
Existing players that are currently on a team are encouraged to come to tryouts to support these new players and help in the assessment process. The goal at tryouts is to create teams that are competitive; and place players on teams based on what best suits his or her technical ability and desire, and not necessarily by their age.
If players do not make a Arsenal team, they are encouraged to participate in our Academy, Futsal, or Recreational League. No one is turned away.
All players trying out must be registered with Alaska Youth Soccer (AYSA). AYSC has to pay the $25 fee to the State to cover Liability and Medial Insurance on every player that steps onto the field, this $25 covers every player for the entire soccer year no matter what soccer program or club they participate in.
Download the Liability & Medical Release form if you want to fill it out in advance or parents can not attend the first day. Every player must have a signed form before stepping on the field for the 2014-2015 soccer year.
